Max Cavallaro, MA, LMHC
Graduated from the Boston Graduate of Psychoanalysis and is currently an advanced doctoral candidate. He is adjunct faculty at Bunker Hill Community College and also a Teaching Assistant at BGSP.
Upon graduation, I started working in Westwood Lodge Hospital in the adolescent day program and was instantly amazed at how group therapy often worked like a charm for teens. They seem to be able to open up more amongst their peers, and their bravery in talking about their emotional difficulties always astounds me. I am still involved with Westwood Lodge running groups at the Adult Partial Program.
My psychoanalytic training has shown me as we attain a deeper understanding of emotional life, difficulties that seemed insurmountable become manageable. We often instinctually know ourselves how to make our lives better. Talking helps reveal the insight we need to achieve emotional balance and overall good health.
