Staff and Dr Aronson, on our first visit gave every indication of competence , and professionalism.ReportRe: Staff and Dr Aronson, on ... GreenLake Eyecare replied on Tuesday, November 16th 2021Thank you for the kind words... We really appreciate you coming in and we're glad we were able to meet your expectations... Looking forward to seeing you again... (And I will definitely contact you next time I need a spot at the gym!)
Very rushed by the doctor. Not sure if we really got a good prescription or not. Will now have to pay more to have rechecked at another doctor since they used our annual insurance exam up.Report
The ladies working glasses over charged compared to eye med insurance co pays. Everything is highest tier. Wanted second pair and only offered 1/2 the eye med discount on second pair. Wife uses progressive lenses and they wanted over $600. Not even close to what eye med insurance is. Ordered one pair for computer reading and will pick up and not use them again. Over priced!!!!
Response to owner: you can refund my credit card immediately since you cancelled the order. You would be better served to understand the ladies up front and how they treat your business. I was prepared to purchase multiple sets of glasses, but she was not giving me the eye med discount on additional pairs. $400 was her charge for second pair of single vision glasses in Nike frame. Should have been much less insurance second pair discount. She never explained reason for high cost, just "that's the number". she's losing business for you. Had everything been correct per our insurance, you would have sold multiple pairs. Even after she charged my card, I asked for detail breakdown and she stated "we'll send to you, I'm going to lunch. I don't have time." I asked her then to reverse the charge and instead the other lady finished the receipt. So our overall experience was rushed and over priced.
Final note - you stated when looking at glasses, lay them down so can be wiped. Sales ladies couldn't be bothered, they put them straight back.Re: Very rushed by the doctor ... GreenLake Eyecare replied on Saturday, November 13th 2021First of all, I'm very sorry we did not meet your expectations. I always stress to my staff that we treat people the way we would want to be treated. I am accessible 24 hours/day and we could have discussed this privately. With that said, I think we both know your claims are greatly exaggerated. The eye exam for both of you included digital retinal photographs, dry eye treatment options, general health evaluations as well as eyeglass prescriptions literally to the 1/4 inch! All your wife's glasses were measured and cleaned as well. You both decided against a complete retinal evaluation with dilation which is often the 'bulk' of the time. Regardless, both were offered a time to come back for that portion. As for you insurance claims, again I think you are being misleading. Your insurance has set copays for certain BASIC materials. In certain prescriptions and circumstances, basic is not recommended. I advised my staff to go over better options than what your wife currently had because she was very unhappy with her eyewear from last year. (In fact, that was the reason you mentioned for coming to my office.) Fortunately, your insurance offers discount off better products. Unfortunately, better products cost more. If the price quoted was higher than you were comfortable with, my staff knows to offer the basic option as alternative. Again, I am very sorry we were not what you hoped for. I have cancelled your order and can credit your payment back at your earliest convenience. I will void out any eyewear claims so you will still have that option. Unfortunately, a comprehensive eye exam was performed so that will remain. If you contact your insurance company, they often can reissue another eye exam when requested. If you would like to discuss things further, you have my contact information. - Thanks, Dr. Aronson
