At The Center for Bariatric Surgical Specialties at Syosset Hospital, our physicians specialize in laparoscopic surgery, including bariatric/weight loss surgery and techniques such as the LAP-BAND® System. Our state-of-the-art facility on Long Island, New York offers the latest technology in a safe and comfortable setting.
Our team is comprised of two surgeons, Dr. Alan C. Geiss and Dr. Colin J. Powers, two Physician Assistants, two registered dieticians, a psychologist, and multiple other health professionals who assist in the care of our practice. We perform a wide range of laparoscopic and weight loss surgery procedures at our Long Island, New York office. While we specialize in the LAP-BAND® System , we also perform most other surgeries that can be executed with a laparoscope, such as Revision of Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass - ROSE, gastric bypass, gallbladder surgery, and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy - LSG.
