Keith Nix Knives

I have known Keith for 30 years. I know his integrity as a person and his skill as a knife maker. He recently helped harvest a curly maple from my parents property to use on knives I intend to gift to my family. The wood was beautiful and I know Keith will make beautiful knives from it because he has an artist's eye and the hands of true craftsman. Many friends have commissioned knives from Keith and all are pleased with the quality, functionality, and unique natural beauty of his work. More power to you Mr. Nix--just wish there were more of you!

Update 6.13.21: we got our second knife with Keith just this weekend! A beautiful petite chef with a flaming box elder handle! It is an absolute work of art. Look no further for a handmade blade that you’ll cherish for the rest of your life.

This is our second knife from Keith and we love them both! They are balanced and beautiful. I'm super excited about it and I'm going to buy my Mother and Brother one as well. It means something to actually know the person who created your knife!

I placed a custom job kinda order he went above and beyond and kept me updated through everything step to make sure it was beyond what I was wanting I couldn't be happier with the results this is the first of many I'll be getting!!

I brought a handful of Japanese knives I’ve had for over 20 years to Keith for sharpening. Keith was kind enough to show us his shop when we dropped them off and a couple of knives he has in progress. Keith was able to turn around the knives in just a few days and I couldn’t be more pleased. Knives are now super sharp and a joy to use. Looking forward to the vegetable cleaver and petite chefs knife Keith is working on for us. Highly recommend.

Keith Nix came and picked up our knives exactly when he said he would, returned them when he said he would and was professional the entire time. The price was reasonable and the knives are like new (actually I think better than new!) Seriously, if you haven't had your knives sharpened in awhile, just call Keith and get them done. You will be amazed at the difference it makes! Thank you Keith!! I will be calling you more regularly to sharpen them!

Keith made me a small, fixed blade knife, with a dogwood handle as a christmas gift for my boyfriend. He is a knife collector and was excited to receive something one of a kind, that was also such high quality. This little knife is well-made, feels good in the hand, and holds an excellent edge. This knife was one of Keith's first, but he clearly knows what he doing. In addition to creating a beautiful, well-crafted tool, Keith provided great customer service, keeping me posted on production and sending pictures of his progress. He was wonderful to collaborate with and I highly recommend his work.
