Keith sharpened our Japanese chef's knife for us on Christmas eve with no notice! We had a standing rib roast to cook and none of our knives would go through it after honing on a steel rod. Thought it was a long shot to find anyone on a holiday (in bad weather, no less) but Ken did it for us. The knife is ridiculously sharp now -sharper than when new. This knife can now make air bleed. It went right through the roast and I'm actually a little afraid of it! But as chefs say, a dull knife is a dangerous one. (edited because I got his name wrong! Sorry, Keith!)

Keith did an awesome job on my trail companion knife. He sharpened it to absolute perfection and did an expert handle repair. He did all of the work with a very quick turn around time. I definitely will be utilizing Keith’s services for all my tools. I feel very fortunate to have someone with Keith’s expertise right around the corner.

I brought my main chef knife to Keith for him to sharpen. It wasn't in terrible shape but there were a few nicks on the edge that needed to be worked out. He allowed me to observe his process and I was VERY impressed! Keith is truly a professional and, even for a simple sharpening job, puts a tremendous amount of care and effort into his work. I was surprised by the level of precision he used to sharpen my knife but he attributes this to his years of experience as a machinist. My knife is now incredibly sharp and I'm going to have to be really careful using it!

I would whole heartedly recommend Keith Nix Knives for any custom knife orders, big or small, or sharpening services. He creates art that’s usable in the kitchen. When I requested an 8 inch chef’s knife he invited me to his shop to personally pick the wood that I wanted for the handle. He had an extensive collection of choices on hand and was even able to get the blade engraved with a birthday for the person I’m gifting it to. His craftsmanship and quality, as well as pure customer connection, is second to none.

Keith not only sharpened our knives better than I could imagine, he did it faster than predicted, and during the holidays no less! I'm so thankful to have found him, and would highly recommend his services. (He even gave a sneak peak on a knife he was making, and it looks like a sturdy beauty!)
