Our trip to Costa Rica through Western River Expeditions met and exceeded our expectations. All three of the lodgings (Parador, Tabacon, and Pacuare Lodge) were outstanding, as were the excursions. We are glad we did the trip in reverse order, finishing at Pacuare since the rafting was the highlight of our vacation. That was true even though my wife fell out of the raft on one of the class 4 rapids, quickly rescued by our boatman, Ricardo. Zip lining through the rainforest canopy was also unforgettable. Rafting the Grand Canyon remains our favorite trip, but Costa Rica is a close second.Report
